The Tree: This tree is found in the Macquarie Pass, Blue Mountains, Australia. During the 2019–20 Australian bushfire season, the entire mountain range was engulfed in flames. According to preliminary reports, up to 80% of this World Heritage Area burned. We are not sure yet if this mature, unique tree survived the fires.
